Who
are we?
We
are non-smoking, in our mid forties, and we sold our home in in July 2003
so we could be mobile to housesit.
We
are university educated. We have raised three children, who have all moved
away from home. Dave is a ATM installer. Denise is a web designer and
satellite technician. We can work from any location that has high-speed
internet available. We have really enjoyed housesitting in Alberta for
the first 5-6 years. However, there are reasons why we prefer to be in
Nova Scotia, so we are actively seeking housesits in Dartmouth, Halifax,
Cole Harbour, Lake Echo, Musquodoboit, Eastern Passage, or other areas
nearby in Nova Scotia.
We
are happy to pay utilities and care for your home as if it were our own.
We started out with experience working with a local housesitting and petsitting
company in Airdrie, Alberta, and have been live-in housesitters since
2003. We have great references and can provide a clean, recent, criminal
record check. And we have experience with cats, dogs, frogs, fish, and
lizards.
We
do have a pet of our own, a miniature schnauzer. She is completely voice
trained and goes with us everywhere our car goes, so she will rarely be
left alone in your home and will always be in a kennel box if we do have
to leave her in your home. She is completely housebroken and never has
damaged anything in our home, or the other homes in which we have lived.
She is also accustomed to making friends with your pets (including cats).

Welcome
Hi!
We're Dave and Denise, and we
are live-in Housesitters. Whether you call us housesitters, house
sitters, house carers, house minders, petsitters, or pet sitters,
if you are looking for someone housesit while you are away for an
extended period of time, we would love to hear from you. You
can email us here.
We are currently seeking a long-term (over 60 days) housesit
beginning early May 2010 in Dartmouth, Halifax, Lake Echo, Cole
Harbour, Musquodoboit or the Eastern Passage of Nova Scotia.
|
Free free to browse our site. We have tried to supply
as much information as possible to help you understand what to expect
from the housesitting experience.
How Does this Work?
Whether you call it housesitting, house sitting, pet
sitting, petsitting, or houseminding, if you are thinking of using
a live-in house sitter -- call us! We can talk about:
(a) where your house is located;
(b) when you hope to leave and return home;
(c) any general or specific initial questions you may have;
(d) any special needs you may have of a housesitter.
Then if you and we both want to discuss the possibility
of a housesit in more detail, we can arrange a longer phone interview,
or a personal meeting.
